A stable and growing R&D team is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to going their team for a 9 month project.
Responsibilities:
Design analog and digital
electronics
for interfacing microcontrollers to peripheral devices such as pumps, fans, relays, thermocouples, pressure transducers, power converters etc.
Prepare prototypes and component assemblies and systems that meet established specifications
Design test fixtures and develop test procedures for board qualification; as well as, to assist in developing and implementing test stands for prototype systems and component testing; conduct and report on experiments and tests
Troubleshoot and
repair
circuit boards to the component level
Provide
engineering
support for manufacturing and field service; perform failure analysis on parts returned from the field
Support and interface with agency testing
Design and perform layout on simple PCBAs
Maintain technical documentation such as BOMs, Engineering Change Orders, etc.
Requirements:
B.Sc. Electrical Engineering (4yr Degree) or an Associates Degree with significant and relevant experience
Must have at least 5 years experience in a relevant industry and have experience working around high voltage/high current systems
The discipline to create and maintain adequate documentation of work
Ability to generate and read Process & Instrumentation Diagrams
Hands on experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, current clamps and other test equipment
Ability to trouble shoot analog and digital electronics
Knowledge of Capture and Layout packages
High level of competence working with PCs in an engineering environment and experience with fine pitch rework
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong oral and written communication skills and good listening skills
Ability to work in a multi-functional team environment.
