Software Engineer / Predictive Analytics

We are working with a start-up within a B2C company that is building an analytics team. You will be the first engineer in. You will be working on building out a platform (redshift platform) for analytics.
This role is a mix of skill sets, including an understanding of big data mechanics, analytic processing (not a data scientist, but someone familiar with modeling, implementing model scoring logic, etc.), programming (chiefly python, java) and ideally familiarity with the Amazon stack.
We are looking for an exceptional person, an engineer who is really excited about all that is going on in the space of big data analytics, who thrives on taking on new technologies and approaches.
Requirements:
Excellent Java-based system development skills
Experience working with one or more open source modeling packages - R, Python, Weka, RapidMiner, etc.
Experience with machine learning and/or statistical modeling
SQL
Experience with UNIX scripting (Perl, Shell, etc.) a plus
Experience with Eclipse and Spring a plus
Conceptual modeling
