Position Summary
Voice and Data Network Engineer
The proper candidate must be able to provide installation
services
and technical support for our advanced voice, data and telecommunications products in a fast paced, demanding environment servicing the financial
community
. This individual must have experience in the installation and troubleshooting of voice and data technologies (Cisco, etc.) as well as knowledge of telecommunications.
Minimum Cisco certification: CCNP
Responsibilities:
o Support and maintain existing Voice and data network architecture.
o Manage and provide training and support to engineering staff
o Produce documentation to a high standard
o Deliver expert technical knowledge and propose technical solutions.
o Provide professional technical sales support to the Sales Department
o Establish an in depth understanding of customer business objectives and technical requirements
Requirements:
At least 5 years experience working as a Network Engineer
o Extensive technical expertise with corporate Voice Telecoms and IP Technology
o Clear understanding and a history of working with and developing bespoke solutions that integrate IP services including, networking, and IP applications
o Proven ability in designing and delivering corporate value add solutions
o Competent knowledge of and potential expertise in product and technology areas including:
o Voice - PSTN, Interconnect, Switching, VOIP Interfacing
o TDM - SDM, SDH Delivery standards,
o OSI Model, IP Protocol suite
o Routing protocols
o Ethernet
o Cisco CPE/Core switching products
o Network Management systems
o Linux / Unix experience a plus
Personal attributes:
o Excellent Team Player - flexibility to work well with various skill sets
o Willing to work flexible hours (due to global role)
o Desire to learn new skills and new technologies in a fast-paced environment
