What You'll Do At John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) in Urbandale, IA as a Product Verification and Validation Engineer, you willbe part of building industry altering new mobile applications and technology for agriculture that will directly impact how customers work. In the role you will: Provide Software Engineering test and validation of John Deere's/NavCom line of GNSS receivers. (Specific areas include validation of advanced navigation algorithms, Baseband performance and configuration for all GNSS receiver testing.) Carry out daily tasks, create test pans and train fellow team members to understand and test GNSS receiver operation. Work with fellow members of the Product Delivery Team to ensure desired test coverage is provided. Actively participate in periodic bug review meetings to ensure software development and key stakeholders understand issues clearly. Develop deep understanding of GPS/GNSS concepts and fundamentals through direct work assignments. Understand and execute electrical aspect of cabling harnessing, wiring, pin-outs, diagrams/schematics. Work with hand tools and lab equipment. Coordination of CO-OP test coverage and analysis of field data. Actively support NCCA and warranty
repair

computer
Science, Computer Engineering, Geomatics or equivalent experience in a related career field. In addition we require: 1 years of experience operating heavy equipment (i.e. construction, forestry, or agricultural equipment) 1 years of experience with Matlab, LabView or other software language. 1 years of experience in product development testing 1 years of experience in the GNSS/GPS industry Strong analytical, reporting and presentation skills. Ability and willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 30%. A strong candidate will also have: MS Project, Team Foundation Server and/or Rally experience. Experience using a Source Code Control Package in a team environment in the normal course of development cycles.
