services
and Assistant General Counsel, Corporate Services, provides a wide range of legal services for Yale New Haven Health Services Corporation and its network affiliates.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists Vice President and General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel, Corporate Services with corporate matters on behalf of the Health Services Corporation ('HSC'), Yale-New Haven Hospital (YNHH) and, as requested, affiliated entities.
With the oversight of the Vice President and General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel, Corporate Services, drafts, reviews and negotiates contracts on behalf of HSC and Yale-New Haven Hospital, Inc. ('YNHH').
Assists Vice President and General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel, Healthcare, Regulatory and Risk Services with regulatory matters for YNHH.
With the oversight of the Vice President and General Counsel, Assistant General Counsel, Healthcare, Regulatory and Risk Services and Assistant General Counsel, Corporate Services, provides oral and written legal advice to HSC and YNHH personnel.
Informs the Vice President and General Counsel, Assistant General Counsel, Healthcare, Regulatory and Risk Services and Assistant General Counsel, Corporate Services of ongoing activity and critical matters affecting HSC and YNHH.
Interacts with other Legal and Risk Services personnel to ensure that legal services are provided to HSC and YNHH in a timely, practical and cost effective manner consistent with the mission and values of the organization.
Demonstrates a spirit of teamwork, offering positive and constructive ideas, encouragement and support to other members of the Legal and Risk Services Department.
Performs other duties as requested by the Vice President and General Counsel.
REQUIREMENTS
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Current admission to the
connecticut
Bar.
Three to five years experience in general health care practice with some portion of that time in a healthcare setting preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to independently conduct legal research and provide legal advice. Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment.
Accountable to the Vice President and General Counsel for achievement of
job
responsibilities.
Adheres to sound legal and ethical practices. Ability to juggle many complex and competing matters simultaneously.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
