TRS Software Engineer E01/E02 NCH CA Thales-Raytheon Systems C4I software organization is interested in expanding its software development staff. Entry level Software engineers will be responsible for developing and re-architecting a family of command, control, and communication software components. Entry-level engineers will participate in multiple aspects of the software development process from design to software and system integration and test. Opportunities include software design and development and integration/test for software upgrades and new capabilities. Initial responsibilities will be to learn the Command View software as well as our UNIX and Windows software development environments. Technologies used within the C4I Software Department include Service Oriented Architecture, J2EE, and object oriented design. Travel will be necessary at times in order to support customer reviews, software installations, on-site problem resolutions and other activities. Travel durations for such trips are usually 1-3 weeks and can occur anywhere in the world. The Command View software is in use throughout the Middle East and other areas applicant must be willing to travel. Basic Qualifications: Candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with an emphasis in Electrical Engineering,

Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Software Engineering, or related engineering degree.
Qualifications: Course curriculum to include minimally 2 years advanced math, fundamentals of operating systems, database architectures, and programming languages. Must have taken at least one class in Object Oriented Design. Knowledge of Java, C , XML. Must be willing and able to support international travel. Class/course work focused on Human Interfaces/Graphical (i.e., computer graphics) or software gaming technology. Experience with the following operating systems: Unix, Linux, Windows 7. Experience in the following enabling tools: Hibernate, Struts, Tomcat, Weblogic, JBoss, PERL, Clearcase, and Ant. Experience using Oracle or MySQL. Experience with Lean/Agile development methods. Work experience within the field. Knowledge of air operations or flight operations or private pilot license. Course curriculum to include minimally 2 years advanced math, fundamentals of operating systems, database architectures, and programming languages.
