Description and Desired Qualifications
CH2M HILL Roadway Design Engineer Jobs - Honolulu, HI
The challenge? Helping our communities stay safely on the move. OurRoadway Design Engineeringprofessionals work on exciting and engaging mobility and infrastructure projects. You will be part of a team completing a wide range of planning, design and construction projects related to transportation systems that provide modern mobility for moving people and products safely. Travel for this position will be minimal and only as needed by individual projects. You should be a self-motivated professional with a proven and successful track record in a
civil engineer
position. You should possess a BS in Civil Engineering, have 10-15 years of experience in roadway design, site design, traffic engineering, and/or transportation planning and a
hawaii
PE (or the ability to acquire within 6 months), and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally.
Our Roadway Design Engineers:
Work in a team environment in the planning, design and delivery of multimodal transportation projects
Have strong oral and written communications skills
Use traditional and design/build delivery formats
Are responsible for conceptual design, roadway geometric design, signing and striping, traffic signal design, development of plans, construction phasing, preparing permit applications, specifications, estimates, and
services
during construction
Understand and/or conduct traffic impact analysis, traffic operations studies, modeling, and planning evaluations.
Are responsible for research, report writing and development of presentations
Direct others as part of a team, develop and mentor junior staff, provide technical and quality guidance, and assist with management of projects
Work directly with clients and stakeholders, and participate in public involvement processes
Participate in various marketing activities
Work independently with minimal day to day supervision
Basic Qualifications
BS in Civil Engineering
10-15 years of experience in roadway design, site design, traffic engineering, and/or transportation planning
Hawaii PE
