DIRECTOR OF QUALITY ASSURANCE opportunity at a growing firm in
delaware
. Need QA experience in the plastics or non woven manufacturing industries. Travel less than 25%. Includes relocation.
Responsibilities for the Director
Oversee staff of 2 to 5 in managing Quality Management program in support of a plastics extrusion manufacturing facilities
Develop, coordinate, and maintain Quality Management System to assure that all products manufactured meet customer specifications as well as compliance with regulatory and legal requirements
Monitor and advise on the performance of the Quality Management System, develop data and reports on performance, measure actual results versus standards, identifies and implement improvements to the Quality Management System
Collaborate with management and staff across departments to ensure quality program is implemented and functioning properly
Manage ISO9001 certification program, administrate SOP and Work Instructions, lead internal audit program, investigate field failures and recommends corrective action, and administrate Corrective Action/Preventive Action program
Staff management duties include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Requirements for the Director
BS Degree preferably in a scientific field
Minimum 6
years experience in the plastics or nonwoven industry experienced with Quality Systems and ISO Documentation Systems
Need 3
years Supervisory or Managerial experience
A PLUS to have FDA related experience
Need quality assurance program related experience in areas such as statistical analysis, precision measurement, and process capability studies
Need coursework related to these areas such as mathematics, statistics, and industrial practices
Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
