BDS Partnerships client is seeking an Asst. Director for this newly created position in the Center for
education
and Practice Innovation.
The ideal candidate will:
Must have experience as a Nurse Educator and in addition, possess ability to prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issues lists and manage educational programs and projects.
Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification and telemetry skills.
The role is responsible for integrating educational needs of healthcare providers effectively and efficiently plan to meet those needs by utilizing project management methodologies; understands regulatory compliance including JCAHO, CMS, etc;
Functions as education expert and collaborates with all levels of staff and team members within the department and across the system.
Requirements:
Education: Master's Degree in clinical field required
Certification: Specialty or education certification preferred.
Experience: 6 to 9 years clinical experience in an acute care setting required; management experience is strongly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a unit educator, formal teaching assignment, or comparable experience required.
Licensure: Current CT licensure in clinical field
