Project Overview :
The Exchange Administrator is responsible for Tier II and III support of the Enterprise E-mail
services
platform and all related sub-systems such as email archive servers and storage, Outlook, Web Access, Blackberry Enterprise Server, Lync instant messaging, ActiveSync, Active Directory or Group Policy changes for messaging and maintaining/administrating internal and external DNS. This
position
will also be involved with the planning and execution of future upgrades and scalability improvements.

Description &
Responsibilities:
Designs, develops, implements and optimizes an Exchange based messaging system to ensure uninterrupted electronic communications with applications and DOJ/BOP/FPI users. Quickly troubleshoots incidents, determines the root cause, and finds and implements solutions.
Leads application software upgrades, security patches and planned maintenance of the corporate email environment.
Measures capacity and performance trends to determine long-term needs.
Pro-active procedural planning to meet daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly metrics.
Provides system metrics, root cause analysis and proactive monitoring and communicates any performance degradation to management.
Implements and maintains systems and technologies (edge systems, message hygiene, and data encryption) to protect data availability, message confidentiality and integrity.
Reviews internal critical security vulnerability reports for action.
Provides 24/7/365level 3 support for production E-mail systems as needed, Monitors and completes requests and incident resolution via FPI Heat Ticket system.
Creates, maintains and updates platform documentation and operating procedures.
Required Skills & Experience :
5
years of experience as an Exchange Administrator and/or Engineer in an enterprise environment.
5+yearsof experience as an Active Directory Administrator and/or Engineer in an enterprise environment
5
years of experience with Windows operating systems Server 2008R2 and cluster services
1
years of experience supporting Microsoft Exchange 2010 application at an enterprise-level. Experience with 2013 is a plus.
Microsoft Office (Windows, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook)
Experience with HP intel 86 Servers, Windows Server .
Proven thorough ability to develop strategy as well as write, communicate, facilitate, and present to all levels of IT, internal staff and management.
Ability to create best practice methodologies and tools, policies and procedures, whitepapers, and other standard business communications.
Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Education & Certifications :
Bachelor's degree with preferred study in information technology,
computer
science, business or equivalent experience and certifications.
Microsoft Certified System Engineer and/or Microsoft Certifies Exchange System Administrator REQUIRED.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
