Major manufacturer of plastic injection molded medical devices seeks Tooling Engineer who can plan, organize, and lead the optimization of our injection molding operation through continuous improvement of the tool department.
Shall:
Conduct design and preliminary tool reviews to insure consensus of the multi-disciplinary team.
Plan, implement and coordinate new projects related to molds and tooling, as well as changes to the existing molds if applicable.
Specify equipment, tooling, and fixtures for new processes or existing process changes.
Install new equipment, tooling and fixtures to support new product development.
Work with Tool and Mold manufacturers to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Required:
4
years of plastic injection molding project management experience
Familiarity tooling transfers, vendor negotiations, quoting.
Ability to use 3D CAD software to ensure proper tool construction.
