JOB SUMMARY
Harshwal & Company seeks candidates for the position of Staff Auditor to work with the firm's general audit and financial
services
team. Applicants should possess a Bachelor's or an Associate degree in
accounting
or similar field. CPA candidates are preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support to the Senior Auditor and Audit
manager
during the period of the engagement activity
- Execute day-to-day activities of audit engagements for multiple clients and interact with client personnel when needed
- Perform audit testing activities, document processes and findings; verify assets and liabilities in accordance with audit programs
- Follow documentation standards and prepare clear, concise and orderly working papers
- Become oriented with the firms technology and techniques related to accounting/auditing procedures and
practices
and firm's engagement
management
software
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelors or an Associate degree in Accounting or similar field. 3.3 or higher GPA preferred
- Candidates with a pass in CPA examination is a plus
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Proficient with MS Office products such as Excel
- Detail oriented, sound organizational and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel
