Job Title: Senior Buyer / Category Manager PSI-0203/0204
Location: McLean, VA
Potential Hourly Rate: $35 to $45 per hour, depending upon experience.
Potential Annual Salary: $90k to $110k depending upon experience and performance.
Employment: Temp-to-Hire (3 to 6 months)
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Negotiate and execute contracts, statements of work and/or amendments, and terms and conditions for Information Technology (IT)
services
and hardware.
Develop complex Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposals (RFP) for competitive bidding, and communicate terms to prospective suppliers.
Develop supplier selection criteria and work with key stakeholders in rating competitive bids.
Evaluate supplier responses, mitigate risks and make final recommendation to key internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
6-10 years experience with the full procurement cycle, working in Purchasing, Commercial Contract Negotiation and Supplier Management environments.
Extensive experience with IT services, Software as a Service (SaaS), Consulting services and/or Professional Services commodities required and experience in Financial Services is a plus.
Strong communications and contract negotiation skills and experience working with Legal and business owners to structure optimal statements of work and related contracts.
Demonstrated success in establishing, managing and leading contract negotiations.
Ability to manage multiple contracting and projects and effectively deal with a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Experience in driving customer satisfaction through proven, measurable contracting results while balancing controls and mitigating risks.
Experience performing detailed analyses of data. Performing supplier financial analyses.
Experience in reporting, the use of MS Excel spreadsheets and other MS Office programs.
Bachelors Degree mandatory.
