Our Client Company is a global manufacturer of a diverse range of innovative product solutions serving multiple industries. They are currently seeking a Manager of Global Logistics in
oklahoma
City, OK. Relocation is potentially available.
The Manager of Global Logistics is a key member of the Logistics leadership team and is responsible for all domestic and foreign movement of product to and from the companys distribution center system. The Manager of Global Logistics creates and executes transportation strategy, including freight sourcing strategy, carrier selection, routing decisions, mode selection, and freight payment and audit
services
. He/she also negotiates base rate, accessorial and discount adjustments with transportation carriers as applicable, all the while ensuring the highest ethical standards of integrity and professionalism are adhered to the procurement process.
Requirements:
o A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in related field (Supply Chain, Business, Science and Mathematics, Engineering) and six years related experience
o Superior business, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills
o A demonstrated ability to implement new transportation solutions and lean/continuous improvement programs
o Strong interpersonal skills
o Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
o Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
o Excellent written and verbal skills for the purpose of writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals, and effectively presenting information/responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
