Responsibilities:
Talent Development Strategy (30%):
Sets global strategic direction for the talent development function that meets current & future business needs.
Cascades the talent development strategy into objectives in the disciplines of performance management, succession planning, identification of talents, talent and leadership assessment and development and learning excellence to meet the current and future business needs.
Ensures metrics are designed and utilized to measure the effectiveness of talent development strategy, programs and processes.
Design of Talent Development programs (40%):
Manages TDWs Performance Management program, sets the objectives, designs the program and oversees the continued roll-out of a consistent global process that focuses employees efforts on the achievement of business goals and attainment of requisite skills/competencies to sustain profitable growth.
Ensures an ongoing Leadership Development process exists which continuously enhances the knowledge and capability of key talents in order to enable that pool of talents to effectively lead the organization towards achievements of strategic initiatives.
Designs and launches career paths. Conducts individual leadership, career and talent assessments as appropriate using a variety of tools. Provides coaching and support to key leaders in the creation of robust development plans that meet succession and development needs.
Develops and administers a Succession Planning process which focuses on building bench strength to meet current and future business needs. Serves as a business partner in the identification of candidates for critical roles.
Identifies or develops company-wide or individual learning initiatives that cost effectively focus
employee
development toward achievement of both business and personal career goals. Conducts training needs assessment, recommending and implementing programs to support key skill areas.
Development Tools (20%):
Identifies and oversees the use of employee development assessments that are accurate, timely, and applicable and that provide the employee with tangible data that are useful for development.
Ensures that all eLearning systems and processes are in place and up to date in order to globally communicate, track, and promote TDWs learning programs.
Team Management (10%):
Selects, evaluates, motivates and develops employees to ensure a qualified workforce.
Develops positive team dynamics to ensure high performance.
Leads continuous improvement process in own team.
Sets personal objectives, provides fair and constructive feedback, assesses accurately employee performance, training needs, areas for improvement and possibility of future growth within the organization, and ensures training and development needs are addressed.
Education Requirement:
Bachelor's degree firmly required, with a strong preference for a major in Business, HR, or Organizational Psychology. A Master's degree would be preferential.
Other
Qualifications:
A minimum of ten years of experience as an in-house talent development leader is required.
Must be familiar with learning paths and performance management.
Strongly prefer previous experience with global/international talent development programs.
