We are pleased to announce the opening for a highly competent Programmer Analyst for the Office of Information Technology (OIT) for the State of Maine. This is an advanced technical services role that will develop and maintain highly complex
computer
programs to support the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

ABOUT THE JOB DETAILS:
The assigned area is the OIT, Department of Health and Human Services (OIT-DHHS) team, which provides information technology support for over 4,000 employees in the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and enables DHHS to provide efficient services to approximately 250,000 Maine residents.

offers the opportunity to create and develop programming assignments using Oracle, SQL, PL-SQL, and JAVA. This position is located in Augusta.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will be a productive member of a highly talented Applications Team to provide information technology support for the Division of Infectious Disease, Maine Immunization Program. You will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining complex application programs; conducting analysis of and support of client requests, and ensuring that the technology solution supports the Enterprise Application Architecture. The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention provides the leadership, expertise, information and tools to assure conditions in which all Maine people can be healthy.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
In order to qualify, you must have two and a half (2 ) years of computer programming experience utilizing higher level languages (Oracle, SQL, PL-SQL, and JAVA preferred). A Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science or equivalent subject area may be substituted for one (1) year of programming experience. Some experience with Unix is desired.

The value of State-paid Dental Insurance: $13.13 biweekly
The value of State-paid Health Insurance:

Level 1: 100% State Contribution (employee pays nothing): $363.77 biweekly
Level 2: 95% State Contribution (employee pays 5%): $345.58 biweekly
Level 3: 90% State Contribution (employee pays 10%): $327.39 biweekly
Level 4: 85% State Contribution (employee pays 15%): $309.20 biweekly

The level of the actual value of state paid Health Insurance will be based on the employee's wage rate and status with regard to the health credit premium program as of July 1, 2011.

The value of State's share of Employee's Retirement: 17.07% of pay for BU positions and 22.07% for Confidential employees.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
