QA Software Engineer

Exeter Group is looking for a QA Test Engineer with hands-on experience testing for enterprise software systems and SaaS systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in system testing initiatives, automation testing, troubleshooting systems and performance testing. . In addition to technical skills the ideal candidate should have exceptional verbal and written and communication skills as well as initiative and drive. Most of all, you need to be a team player working to deliver high quality solutions.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement automation framework and strategy
Create and maintain automation test scripts and code
Analyze test results and document defects
Provide support to Software Development, Implementation, and Infrastructure teams
Troubleshoot software functionality issues on production systems, log tracing on Unix server
Coordinate testing initiatives with offshore teams and functional teams
Responsible for the testing and troubleshooting issues for large-scale, complex, enterprise web-based software solutions and SaaS solutions from design through release (aka full software development life cycle)
Assist product team with performance testing initiatives
Responsible for testing builds with continuous integration servers
Technical Requirements
Strong knowledge in test automation, QA processes, test tools. Proven experience using open source technologies including Selenium testing framework
Web Application testing experience required.
Fluency in automation test methodologies and tools (e.g. QTP), test case management, and load testing as well as understanding of software development processes.
Working knowledge of Java, C# and/or and n-Tier web technologies
Proven experience with SQL queries, and willingness to learn new tools and technologies
Scripting Language, i.e., Perl, Python, Bash etc., is required
Familiarity with Oracle suite of products. Experience with Siebel highly desired.
Understanding of Shared Service Oriented Architecture beneficial
Experience in developing and testing Web
services
, APIs, or other SOA related architectures highly preferred.
Familiarity with Continuous Integration- Hudson/Jenkins
Familiarity with industry standard test case methodology, defect tracing, traceability, automation tracking tools and issue tracking systems such as JIRA or Bugzilla.

Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of software engineering experience in the US. Comp Science and Engineering degrees preferred.
