Our client is looking for a Program Accountant in Huntsville, AL. The right candidate will review and process invoices, vouchers, and check requests. Assist in processing accounts and subcontract accounts. Knowledge of government contracting preferred
position
Responsibilities:
Invoice verification, Reporting, Status Updates, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Maintains logs, enters and balance account data, generate statistical reports and other acconting related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing or related field, or equivalent experience.
2 to 5 year(s) of applicable experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry working in Finance in execution of large program(s) in support of Department of Defense customers.
Experience working with WAWF preferred.
Knowledge of Department of Defense contract language and ability to understand provisions for authority for billing.
Ability to understand and interpret vendor invoices, statements, and other requests for payment.
Microsoft Office suite of applications with emphasis on Excel.
Demonstrated ability to assemble and present analytic data in written and verbal form.
Ability to independently read and understand contract language and underlying contract regulations.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
