Job Summary

The Branch Representative at our Georgetown (South Seattle) Branch provides effective and efficient service to membership in all operations while following the Credit Union policies, procedures and guidelines.

Essential Job Functions
Processes all member transactions.
Supports, promotes and cross-sells Credit Union products and
services
and maintains average product sales in accordance with branch/department goals.
Provides information and applicable forms concerning products and services.
Interviews members to analyze and determine members' needs.
Balances at end of each business day.
Maintains required records.
May serve as a loan officer.
Answers incoming phone lines and, if necessary, directs calls to the appropriate personnel.
Converts qualified referrals to new business in accordance with
supervisor
goals.
Provides a high quality level of service based on our service standards and goals.
For the purpose of maintaining Credit Union goals, it is the responsibility of each
employee
to strive for the continuous quality improvement of processes and quality of service to internal and external customers.
Other duties may be assigned.

Working Conditions
Direct exposure to robbery.
Work is performed in an office environment. May be required to attend off-hours and off-site meetings.
Physical effort may be required to lift bags of coins, supplies such as boxes of copy paper, transaction receipts,
computer
paper, and checks up to 50 lbs.

Knowledge
High School diploma or GED.
Comprehensive knowledge of credit union history and its philosophy preferred.

Experience
Minimum six months cashiering experience.
Recent sales and customer service experience, with a strong emphasis in sales.

Skills & Abilities
Accurate 10-key skills and keyboarding/typing skills
Good communication skills with the ability to communicate with tact, discretion, and courtesy within and outside the organization.
Good organizational and filing skills.
Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Ability to operate various types of office equipment.
Ability to handle stress in a high volume and fast-paced environment.
Must maintain very satisfactory attendance.
Professional appearance and demeanor.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
