Experis is looking for a Sr. Web Developer for a 6-12 month contract for a client of ours in the DTC area.
The Senior Web/Application Developer is the perfect role for someone choosing to focus their experience into the enjoyment of making web applications better to use. This person is passionate about making the end user the best online. We are looking for an experienced in-house PHP web developer to help us on many on-going projects. The selected candidate(s) need experience in the entire software development lifecycle including: requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment. Essential Job Requirements:
Website Interface Experience - Candidates will be required to work with marketing team to translate our brand in our student/faculty/staff portals and blend that with an easy to use interface Relevant Framework
Experience All candidates must be fluent in PHP V5.3
with experience on a proven MVC framework.
REST Design/Development Experience developing REST web
services
for building interfaces, etc.
Analyze and clarify business needs and functions.
Develop and maintain effective communication and working relations with business staff, information systems staff, and technology vendors.
Document business needs and requirements using industry standard and company compliant frameworks.
Work with project teams to gather data requirements.
Works with programmers, developers, and other information services staff to ensure requirements are appropriately reflected in reports and programs.
Train users on operation of systems enhancements, changes, and improvements,
Perform acceptance testing.
Work through
tickets
/email requests for issues and enhancements with all SIS systems. Identify and implement solutions to correct systems problems.
Provide guidance, trouble-shooting, and assistance with student portal, Google authentication and other software issues.
Qualifications:
Strong object oriented programming skills
4-8 years experience with PHP, must be fluent in PHP V5.3+
Strong database development skills
Server Administration experience working on the Linux command line
Demonstrate proficiency with Git or other revision control system including merging, branching and tagging
Experience with standards-based HTML/CSS
Experience with Test Driven Development Successful
Record of systems support and business analysis in higher
education
and/or business.
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
An ongoing customer focus.
Skills Required:
Solid understanding of MVC frameworks.( Yii or CodeIgnitor a plus)
Significant experience with Javascript frameworks such as JQuery UI, JQuery Mobile, etc.
Familiarity with Linux preferably Ubuntu
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Experience with unit testing, and APIs such as PHPUnit for automated UI testing
Self-driven, with ability to work as part of a small team, and define, own and drive projects and tasks to completion
Proven experience with Salesforce, Google Auth, or Shibboleth SSO is a definite plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
