We are seeking an Interactive Graphic Artist to create interactive graphics, infographics and data visualizations for our suite of digital and print products.
The ideal candidate creates powerful, immersive storytelling by expertly integrating words, photographs, videos and data; has a finely tuned understanding of how best to display complex information to make it easy for readers to comprehend and engage with; is able to research, propose, develop, manage and implement new media interactions on web, mobile, and tablet platforms; can work closely with our team of developers, designers and editors to implement and deliver outstanding final products on tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
Two to three years of experience required, Associate's Degree preferred
Experience designing user-interfaces for online news and information or other content-rich website
Possess an expert understanding of user-experience design principles, information hierarchy and typography
Experience developing sophisticated interactive infographics and data visualizations, including illustration skills
Ability to solve complex design problems with the user in mind
Ability to prioritize and manage work, adhering to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter; able to interact with and influence senior level management and collaborate with others in a cross-functional team
Technical Expertise:
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite
Highly Proficient with the latest graphic and Web design principles and aesthetics
