business by leveraging its strong portfolio of imaging technology to realize new business opportunities. Canon USA's existing professional services business, which is centered primarily around document related solutions - such as imaging, output management, document management, Records Management - was transferred into Canon Information & Imaging Solutions, Inc. giving it a solid foundation and initial focus in the area of Business Process Optimization. As the marketplace for document solutions continues to evolve into IT services, CIIS will expand its portfolio. Additionally, the new company will commercialize emerging technology currently under development in the area of cloud computing, medical imaging, advance display technology, and mixed reality. The Software Development Engineer will join a team of technical experts who are responsible for Canon USA original application development. The Software Development Engineer will engage in application development using Canon technologies. The Software Development Engineer will take an active role in creating specifications and designing products, working with project management, customers and/or field personnel to determine products' requirements, architecting and developing the products.
Participates in development efforts. This task involves participation in all phases of software design and development including requirements gathering, design, coding, and testing. Applications may be customizations or products.
Participates in providing technical support to developers using Canon SDKs. This task includes reviewing developers' support requests, analyzing issues and providing answers to their questions, or directions to solve the problems.
Participates in Canon SDK review process. This task includes the analysis of SDK design, functionality and performance.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of Java or C# for Bachelor degree (CS, CE or related)
Or minimum of 1 year of Java or C# for Master degree (CS, CE or related)
Exceptional interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with these additional skills are a plus: Cloud API (REST, SOAP), Mobile development (iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone), Smart card (CAC, PIV, .Net), PKI (Publick Key Infrastructure)
