Laboratory Technician Requirements:
Bachelors in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or related field
0 to 4 years of lab experience, knowledge of GMPs and SOPs is preferred
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds steadily through the day
Laboratory Technician
Responsibilities:
Processing blood aseptically for the manufacture of Reagent Red Blood Cells and record results on batch records accurately and neatly according to documented procedures and GMPs
Perform all manufacturing processes in accordance with GMPs, SOPs, TMs safety rules and production schedule
Under general supervision following SOPs and special test designs; analyzes test data and completes required documentation
May investigate testing abnormalities and implement corrective action
Required to operate equipment such as Cobe Cell Processors and spectrophotometer
