?
This organization is seeking a highly skilled Pipeline Integrity Engineer. The primary responsibility of this role is that of a senior technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing technical support in the areas of Integrity Management, pipeline design, construction, and maintenance. These capabilities are cross functional between gas and liquid pipelines as products are moved via gathering, transmission, and storage systems located on-shore and off-shore in the United States and in Canada. This position will create, establish and/or enhance existing processes, developing and driving a consistent enterprise wide methodical approach to pipeline integrity.
What are the responsibilities?
Serve as Subject Matter Expert for the overall coordination of process design inputs from other engineering disciplines.
Maintain the Company Integrity Management Plans, staying abreast of industry and regulatory trends and changes.
Provide training on company processes and procedures.
Provide Asset Integrity SME support to Operating Areas, E&C and others in the Company Develop and Track Asset Integrity Metrics.
Complete the Integrity Management Plans annual performance reports.
Support internal and external audits.
Support Due Diligence efforts.
Maintain other Operating and Maintenance processes and procedures as assigned.
Provide support in other Asset Integrity Areas such as the Post Assessment Analysis Process, Inline Inspection, Conversion of Service, Pipeline Rehabilitation, and Pipe Mill Inspections.
What are the requirements?
Have
computer
experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Projects, PowerPoint, and Excel Work products.
Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, manage through systems/processes, and develop integrated, creative solutions to pipeline issues impacting integrity, reliability and/or compliance.
Have the motivation and ability to improve existing processes.
Understand complex systems and be able to identify potential areas of improvement.
Ability to effectively lead teams through socializing, listening, and interpreting operational needs throughout the operational organization
Comfortable working with management and peers (Organizational Agility) to develop integrated, creative solutions to integrity-related issues and to drive the solutions to results in a timely manner
What are the qualifications?
Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or other technical field.
Have minimum 4 years of engineering experience in the oil and gas industry, but still acquiring higher level knowledge and capabilities.
Have experience and previously demonstrated capacity to develop and implement integrity management methodologies while incorporating same into O & M Manuals, writing standards, process quality assurance and developing metrics.
Possess advanced verbal and written skills, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as both an individual contributor or in team environments.
Have technical knowledge and experience in in-line inspection (preparing the lines, running the tools, data analysis, feature selection and NDT methodologies) and pipeline
repair
methods.
Advanced technical knowledge and experience in the design, construction, operation, maintenance, conversion of service and retirement of both high pressure gas and liquids pipelines with a proven leadership role of influencing and directing others in these tasks.
Have advanced computer skills including the use of word processing, spreadsheet, Arc-GIS, PODS, in-line inspection vendor software's, RSTRENG and the Microsoft suite of tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
Possess advanced knowledge of CFR Parts 192 Natural Gas and 195 Liquid Pipeline Regulations, as well as Alberta Pipeline Regulation 91/2005 and CSA Z662.
Have experience preparing written responses to PHMSA or Canadian authorities, audit participation and ability to instruct others on the intricacies of the regulations.
Have advanced knowledge and experience working with ASME B31.4 and B31.8 piping code.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
