System One is seeking a Technical Writer for a 4 month (probably longer) contract
position
with our Fortune 500 Client in Hershey, PA.


Overview: Serve as a Technical Writer in support of knowledge transfer and documentation activities associated with a large IT reorganization project.


Responsibilities:
Captures documentation and knowledge transfer needs using defined checklists.
Develops and edits technical documentation for IS Application, Infrastructure, Security and Shared Service teams using defined templates.
Uploads checklists and existing / new technical documentation into company-wide repository.
Arranges and participates in knowledge transfer sessions with subject matter experts and documents corresponding technical discussions.
Proactively communicates or schedules follow-up discussions with subject matter experts to clarify and/or enhance content.
Communicates progress and accurately reports status updates.
Identifies and tracks issues, risks and action items.
Manages and reports time spent on all work activities.


Skills/Experiences:
Ability to work in a team environment, but also work independently in a proactive, self-directed fashion when needed.
Strong communication skills; both written and spoken.
Ability to plan, estimate, organize, schedule and prioritize own work activities.
Ability to proactively.
Ability to clearly articulate problem / issues and proactively research resolution options before escalating to Project
manager
or Team Lead for assistance.
Ability to manage multiple work tasks and client interactions concurrently.
Ability to translate conceptual information into clear and accurate procedural documentation.
3-5 years documentation experience in technical environment


Pay depends on experience, $25 - $34/hour.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
