Network Engineer Job Network Engineer needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Redmond, WA. The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess: - OSI layers - Data Center Operations - IP Networking - Cisco's switching and routing What You'll Be Doing: - Build and support network related infrastructure systems. - Design and Implement WAN optimization solution using Riverbed Steelhead devices - Troubleshoot latency issues from the OS through network - Respond to trouble

and perform troubleshooting on network devices. - Perform in-depth troubleshooting of customer issues as needed. - Maintain and administer network standards, documentation, processes and procedures. - Work closely with other team members to integrate network devices into the overall network design. - Work with Customers to activate

; and assist with problem resolution as required. - Responsible for updating technical documentation associated with each implementation. What You Need to Bring to the Table: - The candidate must be proficient in the area of IP Networking, design and implementation specific to the build out of both lab and production environments. - This position will require an applied experience in Data Center Operations, and must possess an understanding and practical experience with Cisco's switching and routing technologies. Cisco - Network Engineering proficiency is required with extensive experience across multiple Cisco platforms and products (NEXUS 7000 series Switches, 7600, 7200 series Routers, and 7600/6500 series Switches). - Experience and knowledge of Cisco IOS and NX-OS operating systems. - Experience with Cisco ASA devices. - Experience and good understanding of Spanning tree, HSRP/VRRP, Etherchannels, OSPF, Basic BGP and IPSEC VPN tunnels. - Some experience with Wireshark or other protocol analyzers - Must have good understanding of the OSI layers and encapsulation process. - Must understand ARP and MAC address tracing through a switching infrastructure.
