This position participates in a team environment for the delivery and maintenance of application systems. Responsible for programming, debugging and testing of applications in a development environment. Generally responsible for database design and system testing. This position provides technical, interpersonal and administrative skills in performing day-to-day work. This position will work with a team utilizing one or more of the following premium technologies: SQL Server/MySQL, SSIS ETL Tool. Accountabilities will include: - Designs, develops, tests and implements ETL processes to support the Back End core system MS SQL database communications. - Consults with staff to analyze reporting needs including layout, data content and delivery channels. - Provides ad hoc reports and data files for analytics and/or Business Intelligence utilizing SSRS. - Works closely with third-party vendors to develop data transfer procedures and/or automated interfaces. - Delivers and maintains data and/or database management systems. - Plans and communicates server and storage capacity requirements. - Installs and configures database software. - Installs and configures appropriate or necessary software patch or upgrades. - Designs and configures database operational structures per application functional and operational requirements. - Configures database backups per operational requirements. - Configures database with application and user security per policy and standards. - Monitors and tunes databases to meet operational performance and capacity requirements. - Monitors and tunes databases to meet backup and security requirements. - Follows all established policies, procedures, processes, standards, or guidelines. - Works with software vendors to resolve technical issues with database functionality. - Develops and maintains database operational support documentation. - Designs and implements low-medium complex database systems or solutions, including architecting the design of software, backup and recovery, security, capacity, performance, or replication as it pertains to database solutions. - Seeks to improve policies, standards, processes and procedures. - Coordinates and facilitates low-medium complex changes to production environments and systems within approved maintenance windows and with no unapproved impact to customers. - Recognizes need to improve personal, interpersonal, and increase technical and leadership skills/behavior. - Seeks new knowledge independently, creatively crafts own development. - Takes initiative and seeks out work. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in
computer
Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field; appropriate additional experience beyond the minimum required experience may be substituted for education - 3 years of experience in information systems/technology - 2 - 4 years SQL Query Manager and SQL Server - Advanced knowledge in the design and development of ETL processes using SSIS for SQL Server 2005 or later - Proficiency working with SQL Server 2005 or later, T-SQL and SSRS - Experience working with a variety of data sources (XML, flat files, delimited files, Excel, Access) preferred - Web
