Application Analyst The Application Analyst role is to support current and new core organizational functions and business processes. This includes gathering and analysing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. The Application Analyst will also works closely with other team members to plan, oversee and execute tests of new and enhanced software applications to confirm system and applications meet requirements. Responsibilities also include analysis of reported issues, complete with probable causes and possible solutions. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments. The Application Analyst is expected to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Must also have excellent technical skills coupled with a strong desire to produce within a high quality, customer driven organization. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Meet with decision makers, systems owners and end users to define business and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems across the organization. Create high level estimates of time and resources required for application
services
projects. Create functional requirement documents and provide direction to the application developers. Creates the test plan for the software release including required test cycles, dependencies, risks, prioritization, and the overall strategy for testing complex systems or applications. Test and monitor system performance and operation via system logs and reports immediately after implementations for defects and escalate pertinent issues. Excellent written and oral communication skills coupled with excellent listening and interpersonal skills while communicating ideas in both technical and user-friendly language Ability to be flexible and react to changing priorities, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Ability to troubleshoot and be hands on with technology Ability to work independently, under pressure, stay organized and make decisions. Education/Experience/Certifications A Bachelor of Science degree in
computer
Science, Information Systems or related discipline or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 2 years level two support for internal and client facing applications Hands on experience with Oracle SQL/PL/SQL required Working knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards, including FTP, HTTP, XML and EDI preferred. Ability to use UNIX/Linux OS preferred. Experience with WMS or OMS applications highly desired Third Party Logistics experience a positive. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent listening and interpersonal skills. Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required. Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
