Butamax's proprietary technology offers a cost-advantaged manufacturing process with value from field to pump. With operations focusing on the US market first, Butamax is poised for commercial launch in 2014. The Procurement Specialist participates in and leads the execution of sourcing and ordering activities for Butamax. Develop and execute sourcing strategies in alignment with applicable procurement strategies. The role includes understanding the Butamax business model objectives and desired outcomes, engaging internal customers, supporting implementation of processes and procedures, understanding options and risks associated with supply chain activities, building strong internal and external relationships in order to achieve higher Procurement and Supply Chain Management (PSCM) performance, negotiating commercial terms to deliver best value solutions, contract execution and administration, purchase order execution, and the measurement/reporting of the value delivered. The role is being advertised both in DuPont and BP. The successful candidate will be seconded into the joint venture from the parent company. This role reports to the Strategic Sourcing Manager.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies in alignment with the Butamax business model and strategy, especially as it relates to developing a licensing package and a production supply chain, including the development of bid packages, managing the evaluation process, and providing analysis of results and recommendations for approval to the business.
Implements sourcing initiatives and removes roadblocks that ensure delivery of the sourcing agenda to meet business, IP, and HSSE objectives.
Engages all relevant Butamax teams to develop category strategies, plans and priorities, and identifying opportunities to leverage value or mitigate risks from changes in markets (e.g., technology developments, supplier consolidation).
Communicates regularly with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of objectives and to proactively build a clear understanding of business requirements for third party goods and
services

Manages sourcing activities, prioritizing and rebalancing against business objectives.
Complies with all Butamax's HSSE policies and procedures including; accident, injury, incident and near miss reporting and the correct use of equipment.
Contributes to HSSE training and discussions, workplace inspections and audits, and assists in the resolution of health and safety issues as required.
Ensures application of an end-to-end (Total Cost of Ownership) view in all sourcing decisions.
Supports and delivers robust cost management and minimizes business risk via contract management and prequalification of suppliers.
Routinely communicates openly and with integrity to align direction between PSCM and business stakeholders.
Drives supports and promotes the use of PSCM tools.
Coaches less experienced business stakeholders on PSCM processes and controls.
Executes contracts and purchase orders, working with legal as necessary to have con
tractual terms and conditions reviewed, employing best practice to minimize risk and maximize value.
Support implementation of fit for purpose Supplier Management program, including governance structures and KPIs. Manage key supplier relationships, as appropriate.
Bachelor's degree in Procurement/Supply Chain Management, Engineering, and/or Business Administration.
ISM CPM or CPSM certification is desirable.
3 or more years of Procurement and subcontracts experience.
Strong PSCM process, data and system knowledge including the execution of the PSCM common processes (Sourcing, Procurement to Pay, Contracting Excellence, Supplier Management).
Strong communication skills both spoken and written.
Demonstrated ability to influence management, teams and individuals across multiple disciplines.

High level of commercial and financial awareness.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
