As an Distribution Manager you lead, train and coach a team of supervisors, inbound associates as well as outbound associates. The Distribution Manager is responsible for leading teams to safely and effectively receive, pick, and unpack customer deliveries. You and your team will also be responsible for inventory management including shipping, receiving and in-house product movement. Interact with customers and contractors as well as overseeing all warehouse operations and creating a professional warehouse environment.
Oversee the furniture receiving, shipping, and preparation process striving t have perfect product in sequence.
Maintain inventory accuracy.
Hire, train, conduct performance appraisals and develop associates and supervisors.
Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment. Meet business metrics in a continuous-improvement environment.
Maintain a consistently professional appearance and demeanor.
Collaborative, team-oriented leadership approach.
Analytical, critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management.
Qualifications:
Associates degree or equivalent business experience.
Three years in leading and developing warehouse teams, inventory and facilities management experience.
Coaching and training experience.
Work a Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to be highly productive for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
