Shift: Days Experience Level: 4-8 Years Education: Bachelor's Degree Basic Function: Develop, implement and coordinate policies and programs covering the following: employment, wage and salary management, executive compensation, placement, safety and health, benefits, employee service/relations. To provide leadership and guidance to all Human Resource functions.
Responsibilities: - Ensure that the activities of this position and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision and values of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland. - Provide accurate information and recommendations to senior management regarding equal employment, compensation, benefits, policy and procedures toward effective and successful human resources practices. - Develop and maintain a human resources system that meets senior management information needs. Analyze wage and salary reports and data to determine competitive compensation plan. Prepare personnel forecast based on trends relative to Catholic Charities to project human resources needs and management. - Oversee the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by federal, state, and local law, as well as compliance with specific applicable program regulations and standards. - Consult with legal counsel and Human Resources Committee of the Board of Directors to ensure that policies and practices comply with applicable federal and state law. Develop and revise policies for appropriate review as necessary. - Identify system needs and trends regarding human resources to develop and implement programs and policies to ensure consistency and responsiveness in conjunction with senior management. - Provide leadership and supervision to the Human Resources staff. - Facilitate organizational change as necessary through active involvement with all agents of change in a manner that produces resolution and workable solutions toward the success of Catholic Charities' programs and functions. - Prepare and manage budget of human resources operations. - Direct Affirmative Action activities and compliance with appropriate standards. - Provide leadership in negotiations with appropriate bargaining units. Oversee agreement compliance and interpretation. - Provide leadership in negotiations with benefits vendors for life, LTD, STD, and other relevant benefits. - Participate in various management meetings to provide HR perspective on current and anticipated programs, activities and staffing. - Perform other duties as necessary to accomplish objectives. - Combination of education and experience normally represented by a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Management, Business, or related field with 7-10 years related and progressive experience, including significant management experience. Master's Degree preferred. - Experience in non-profit setting preferred. - Labor relations experience preferred. - Familiarity with the structure and functions of the Diocese of Cleveland preferred. - Must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to present verbal and written complex data in an understandable format. - Must be able to coordinate, prioritize and respond to multiple issues at the same time. - Ability to effectively and productively work with people of very diverse economic, cultural and administrative backgrounds. - Excellent project management and communication skills. - Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain successful working relationships at all levels toward achieving organizational goals. - Must have the ability to effectively manage a variety of concurrent and varying activities. - Must have excellent leadership and organizational skills, strong detail oriented skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality and work as part of a team. Demonstrated success in leading teams and participated as team member. - Must have a good working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software. - Final applicant is required to be fingerprinted to complete background check. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
