THE OPPORTUNITY:
SABIC Innovative
Plastics has a tremendous opportunity in Huntersville, NC as a Specialist,
Materials Planner. You'll flourish in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
where success is rewarded. The Materials Planner is primarily responsible for
product line material availability, managing inventory targets, execution of
manufacturing plan and working with S&OP, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain
teams to ensure attainment of key business goals.
The successful
candidate must be a self-starter and detailed oriented with strong analytical
and problem solving skills, able to support and lead multiple projects through
implementation and possess a demonstrated track record of achieving results and
operational excellence. In addition, the candidate must be able to operate in a
highly-matrixed environment, communicate with all levels of the organization,
influence and gain commitment, and continuously develop the talent around
them.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY
ACCOUNTABILITIES
o Act as voice of customer to manufacturing base
o Create daily executable order package for manufacturing, balanced against known
manufacturing constraints and equal to quarterly S&OP supply plan.
o Communicate cross functionality on plant status, customer issues and inhibiting
execution of master production schedule
o Manage product line inventory
levels to meet quarterly operation plan, balance sku level DIOH (inventory mix)
to ensure desired resource levels are maintained. Prevent Inflow of aged
finished goods in partnership with Demand Planners, Product Planners, and
Fulfillment Analyst
o Coordinate and lead planning for annual plant
maintenance outages to ensure quantity of supply to customers. Drive recovery
actions, plants and communication after unexpected plant issues.
o Manage Made to Inventory (MTI) replenishment, and control inventory to meet quarterly
DOH targets.
o Work closely with the Sales & Operations Planning
(S&OP) and Manufacturing teams to develop the master schedule of orders
utilizing Master Production Scheduling software systems.
