Pareto Staffing Group has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Java Developer with a client in North Atlanta, GA! The Senior Developer will be responsible for participating in medium to large projects through the full development lifecycle process. They must have a strong and detailed understanding of each of their tasks as part of an overall project, and the ability to present status to immediate leadership. The candidate must have excellent skills in SDLC including requirements gathering, program design and coding, testing best practices, and implementation support. The Senior Developer has the ability to work with team members to define the correct solution based on requirements and architecture guidelines. Must be able to present ideas to other team members and architects to arrive at the correct solution. The candidate will work closely with other team members to execute project tasks and keep tasks on schedule. The candidate has implemented current technologies in other areas previously and be able to transition that experience to new areas allowing quick understanding of new systems and Business processes.
Responsibilities: Define, plan and implement solutions on assigned moderately complex projects. Take business requirements and develop the total technical design on moderately complex projects and ensure proper usage as part of the design efforts in building a system to be put into production. Conduct appropriate test reviews for assigned projects and present to architecture review boards as necessary. Promote and follow the established processes, policies, standards and procedures to assure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies and standards. Provide technical direction to associate developers, developers and contractors. Key functional and technical skills: The Senior Developer must work closely with architects to ensure proper system design, and ensure highest quality implementations from design through QA to production. Has previous experience developing Supply Chain applications. The Senior Developer must have and be able to promote an appropriate sense of urgency in regard to deliverables, and be able to effectively partner with the team and the business to develop and deliver IT solutions. Key hands on functional and technical skills: o Experience with forecast and replenishment type processes and/or applications. o Experience with Inventory Management type applications or development o Java development with focus on web development (JSP, Servlet, JMS, JDBC, J2EE Security, Struts) o Understanding of standard web frameworks and languages (HTML, HTML5, CSS, Javacript, AJAX) o Knowledge of standard web service development frameworks and methodologies (SOAP and RESTful) o Experience with standard SQL against DB2/UDB, Oracle, Informix, or SQLServer o Experience with developing applications using Cobol and other development languages o Familiarity with Rich Internet Application Development (FLEX, Silverlight) o General proficiency in XML Desired Traits: Ability to work independently with minimal direction. Ability to communicate issues and recommend solutions in a timely manner to Management. Strong decision making abilities. Experience developing new application systems for production.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
