As an intern, you will hone your skills to be a change
agent
and contribute to more than just the bottom line. For summer 2014, Recology is looking for Interns in our Portland,
oregon
area offices. We have opportunities in the following areas: human resources, collection operations, composting operations, sustainability, marketing, accounting, engineering, environmental planning and safety. Whether you're interested in a specific field, or want to explore your interests, we have an opportunity waiting for you.
Our Internship Program will help you:
Gain in-depth, hands-on experience in your area of interest through a structured training program
Work on a project in your area(s) of interest that will conclude with a presentation to senior managers
Work closely with your Internship Sponsor to assist in your professional development
Acquire the professional tools and knowledge that will help you jump start your career
Other internship activities include:
Recology orientation
Brown bag lunches
Meet-and-greet with other departments
Hands-on research and project presentation
Community involvement
First-hand experience in various facets of our resource recovery and recycling industry
Mentorship by employee-owners
Upon successful completion of the program, many interns will be considered for regular, full-time, paid positions at Recology.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
