Summary of
position
The Integration Engineer is responsible for working with our existing integration engineers and the broader development team to implement and maintain a leading edge healthcare integration engine and related tools. The Integration Engineer works closely with our clients' technical resources to understand and assist with their integration needs as part of our client implementation process.

Functions and Responsibilities
Analyze complex data sets (HL7 2.x/3.0, XML messaging formats such as CCD/CDA or CCR)
Create detailed specifications for health information interfaces
Work with technical resources at ICA's customer locations to resolve data translation issues
Collaborate with Integration Development and Data Center Operations to have interfaces developed, deployed, and verified
Identify risks to focus integration testing in the appropriate areas
Use SQL to query relational databases for reporting and troubleshooting
Become a Subject Matter Expert on how the customers' data drives the functionality and behavior of ICA's products
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in addition to superior time management skills, are essential
Proven work management skills including small project management experience, strong personal management and organizational skills, ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects at various stages, group facilitation and demonstration of leadership skills
Well developed consulting skills including the ability to successfully manage customer expectations, thinking quickly and soundly in an unstructured environment, strong problem solving skills using an analytical approach, and consultative problem focused approach
Experience with existing healthcare integration engines and tools such as Mirth, SeeBeyond eGate or Quovadx Cloverleaf preferred
Script programming skills, including JavaScript, VBS, TCL preferred
Familiarity working within Windows and Linux operating systems preferred
Familiarity with version control software like SVN and bug tracking software such as Jira preferred
In depth understanding of software development methodologies and software lifecycle
Cares about making great software and being part of an engaging team

Team: This position works with the Client Services teams to design and test healthcare interfaces for ICA's customers and partners
Data Center Operations Team: This position relies on Data Center Operations for the timely creation of development, staging, UAT, and production environments
Integration Development Team: This position creates detailed specifications for the Integration Developers, and works with them to resolve problems
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 years experience working in IT, preferably in healthcare
At least one year of experience in requirements analysis and writing detailed technical specifications
At least one year of experience in customer contact or consulting
