Summary:
Xtreme Consulting Group is seeking an Accounting professional to focus on the monetary affairs of the company. This position is within the financial reporting (SEC reporting) group within corporate accounting. This professional will assist with the preparation of the financial statements and footnotes for filing with the SEC and will assist in training accounting/finance policy, reconciliation, and account analysis process.
Responsibilities:
Reviews, analyzes, reconciles, and interprets financial results with business managers and advises on financial implications of business decisions
Understands financial systems and data elements
Prepares management reporting and analytical tools
Researches financial anomalies and makes corrections as necessary
Participates in the monthly financial statement close for assigned entity, division, profit center, or cost center
Monitors compliance of processes, transactions, and balances with accounting and finance policies. Primary duties include:
o Assisting with the preparation of supporting schedules and certain footnotes. Specifically, there is various information that each of our locations/legal entities submit and need to get compiled into a total amount for the company, which is used in the financial statements and footnotes
o Validation (tie-out) of quarterly earnings release and 10-Q information
o Various other tasks associated with the quarter; could be filing, compiling tie out support, etc.
Required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum experience is 2-3 years in accounting or financial reporting, preferably with Big 4 Public Accounting firm or publicly traded company
Understanding of US GAAP
High standards for quality ad attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Strong communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
Typically requires a Bachelor?s Degree and minimum of 2 years directly relevant work experience
One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law
1 year; Masters
0-3 years; Associates degree
1-3 years; High School
3-5 years

Qualifications:
3 years with a Fortune 500/multi-national consumer products company
SAP experienceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
