We are currently looking for a Sr Chemical Engineer for our Versailles Lamp Plant! Description: Researches and develops new and improved chemical manufacturing processes. Designs chemical plant equipment and devises processes for manufacture of chemical products such as gasoline, synthetic rubber, plastics, detergents, cement, paper and pulp. Determines most effective arrangement of operations such as mixing, crushing, heat transfer, distillation, oxidation, hydrogenation and polymerization. Substantially exhibits the characteristics for Sr. Scientist/Engineer I. Makes substantial contributions to critical projects. Consistently demonstrates creativity in support of innovation and technology development where guidelines or precedents are not substantially applicable.
Qualifications Education: - Reserved for Senior Engineers I who have been in their roles at OSRAM Sylvania for at least 2 years - External Candidates: BS with 7 years relevant experience, M.S. with 2 years relevant and related experience or PhD entry level - Project Management Skills with Q Gate System and APQP Process and Six Sigma DMAIC Methodology - Basic Electrical System skills are a plus - Self starter with the ability to work with limited supervision - Must be able to follow all
