We are currently accepting applications for Purchasing
manager
located at our Indianapolis headquarters. In this role you will achieve cost, capacity, competency and cultural alignment standards for all suppliers while adhering to established supply chain principles and strategies. Consistently demonstrate and model the core values of R.T. Moore. In this role you will work with cost, ordering, fulfillment, submittals, returns, billing, and prefabrication.
o Assist in the delivery of material supply sources that consistently deliver a compelling value - lowest total cost without compromising quality expectations
o Identify and implement new methods and materials that achieve cost savings without sacrificing quality or negatively impacting piece rate structure
o Ensure that all purchase orders are generated and distributed per established guidelines; goal to achieve no backordered items through suppliers
o Track key material defects and work with purchasing leadership to address deficiencies with suppliers and manufacturers
o Resolve all billing issues in a timely manner
o Coordinate labor and material to ensure all pre-fabrication actives are completed per Pre-Start plan schedule
o Work Ethic: Demonstrated solid work ethic
o Initiative: Must be able to anticipate and proactively address issues arising from supply chain conditions, changing business needs, team relations and other factors that could negatively affect productivity or positive work environment.
o Planning and Organization: Must be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize these tasks accordingly. Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing conditions through evaluation of plan and reorganization or priorities.
Education: Associate or Bachelor Degree, Vocational Training or 10 years of directly related experience
Experience: Five years of direct Supply Chain/Purchasing experience with degree or vocational training; 10 years without degree

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
