Provides planning and management of sales support programs for specialty markets, including Tools & Equipment, Heavy-Duty/Fleet Solutions, Paint/PBE, U.S. Communities, CQ Batteries and Rotating Electrical. Responsible for developing, conducting, coordinating, supervising and promoting a variety of training and communication programs to satisfy the needs of specialty markets customers, including their personnel. Other marketing duties may include customer surveys, direct mailing, printing, and attending specific
events
. Assists in the planning, organizing and directing of event programs that contribute to the achievement of the company's short-range and long-range technical training objectives for these markets.
Develops, coordinates and conducts specialty markets sales products and programs.
Trains personnel to use Weblink in procuring CARQUEST merchandise and product information
Reviews CARQUEST Technical Institute, CTI, courses, techniques and materials to Equipment Maintenance Dept., EMD, personnel. Plans short-term and long-term training goals and objectives
Conducts training research and pilot programs.
Maintains accurate records and tracking of training activities
Acts as a consultant and resource person on policies and opportunities relating to specialty markets activities
Develops, coordinates and reviews written and
computer
generated communication for effectiveness and clarity.
Develops marketing events (process and products) through input from customers, outside marketing sources, internal marketing planning, and input from senior management
Assists with gathering and reporting of market intelligence
Collaborates with marketing, sales, and product development on training materials, promotional events and operations.
Plans sales calls with CARQUEST store sales teammates and sales management
Required Skills:
Design and implementation of sales training programs
Delivery of instructional sales training in a business setting
Sales experience
Requires good analytical skills and strong presentation skills
Able to develop innovative ideas which result in improved productivity and cost reductions
Able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access) for development of training materials and tracking training data
Strong communication skills; able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Desired Skills:
Sales experience and specific product knowledge of the various specialty markets product lines.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
