position
, you will work with external suppliers on delivery of high quality electronics. You'll work from the pre-qualification of the supplier through the life-cycle to final production/warranty. This will include verification of the supplier's use of industry standards, review of changes to production lines/practices, and follow up with non-conforming materials and
events
. You'll work with a variety of teams to accomplish these goals. Other activities include:
Support and contribute to supplier training in coordination with Commodity Supplier Quality Team
Support Supplier Master P-FMEA and lessons learned process per commodity for region
Be actively involved in supplier related Category A issues for region
Participate in pre-qualification audits of suppliers including audits at supplier site utilizing company standards; follow-up and monitor corrective actions (as applicable)
Contribute in the evaluation of supplier feasibility studies
Lead supplier APQP-process following S-APQP description in the supplier manual
Monitor and review rating of supplier's quality performance and yields
Responsible for completion, and approval of PPAP following standards
Perform PPAP of parts submitted by supplier
Use appropriate tools for the approval of parts

supplier to use company-approved tools to provide appropriate documentation for part submission and quality issues
Participate in managing internal organization supplier non-conforming material issues by working with manufacturing plant quality engineers and engineering when non-conforming material events are escalated, including review meetings,Go, see and fix audits, and other methods
Review submitted 8D documentation of suppliers for accuracy and resolution
Coordinate and participate in focus supplier meetings to review on-going quality issues.
Track meeting minutes and monitor activities which supplier has committed to resolve quality issues

Qualifications
BS in Engineering and 3
years of experience in quality engineering for electronics manufacturing.
Specific experience in one or more of the following areas: microprocessor, circuit boards, micro-electromechanical (MEMS) sensors
Experience in deployment and/or auditing of PPAP, 8D, FMEA, PFMEA
Knowledgeable in ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements
Excellent communication skills, with the proven ability to coach, mentor, and negotiate
Location: Southeast MI
Type: Direct
Salary Range: 75,000-98,000/year, based on experience
Travel: 10-20%
Relocation Assistance: Subject to review

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
