The Medical Writer is responsible for the writing of pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturer client training deliverables and transforming information into knowledge. The medical writer must be up-to-date on the Affordable Care Act and the U.S. managed markets landscape.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Collaborate with project teams, sales and customers with the goal of developing and delivering high quality training content
Lead the strategic planning, researching, writing, referencing and annotating of accurate and engaging content for all training applications
Create high level content outlines for all training initiatives
Write e-learning storyboards based on the approved design documents, including on screen text, audio narration, graphic descriptions, interactive elements, video and assessment questions
Identify, annotate and manage appropriate print and electronic references for each client deliverable
Work with clients and manage the medical, legal and regulatory review process and attend client meetings as needed
Develop and write copy for workshops, power point decks, reports, print materials among other client deliverables
Perform other related duties as assigned

Desired Skills &
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, literature, medicine, pharmacology or the life sciences; An advanced degree is preferred
Three-five years of relevant work experience designing and developing e-learning modules for the pharmaceutical industry with an emphasis in managed markets
Solid understanding of instructional design principles, methodologies, adult learning practices, and interactive
teaching
methods
Must have excellent communication skills, time management stills, and be able to work both independently and as part of a teamMust be able to multi-task effectively under pressure
