Verisk Analytics is seeking a Principal Consultant for our Commercial Insurance Solutions team with a background in the Property & Casualty Insurance Industry.
The Principal Consultant will be expected to lead and/or support complex projects both in competitive sales proposal situations and on client engagements and will be responsible for the overall successful delivery of insurance solutions to Verisk's P&C insurance clients.
The role involves gathering facts, analyzing the client's business (competitors, markets, customers, value propositions, operational models, etc), drawing conclusions, and reporting upon that work. The Senior/Principal Consultant will develop deep relationships within the client organization and build effective cross-functional teams across diverse stake holder groups including client business and technical organizations. The Principal Consultant will also work with clients and Verisk's go-to-market teams to provide thought leadership in devising state-of-the art insurance solutions for our clients.
Further, the Principal Consultant will:
Advise the Underwriting, Actuarial and Business Leadership of Verisk' Insurance clients in the areas of finance, strategy, optimization of underwriting models and driving profitability of the carrier's book of business
Mentor and manage teams of people within Verisk, including building and leading internal communities of industry practitioners
Provide client and Verisk team leadership in support of projects that span requirements, design, development, and deployment, as well as in support of proposal and sales efforts for new and future work
Support the identification, development, and closure of sales efforts in support of an identified sales target
Provide insurance-specific industry guidance, strategies, and best practices
Maintain industry references, approaches, contacts and competitive analysis
Lead and/or contribute to the creation of Verisk's positions on specific P&C Insurance Sector industry topics
Define, develop and use repeatable consulting industry solutions
The Principal Consultant also understands the business challenges of our insurance clients and, through working with both client and Verisk staff, develops solutions to those challenges that:
Solve the client's business challenges by utilizing his/her deep understanding of the P&C Insurance Industry;
Provide high quality trusted advisor advice to clients.

Able to manage and direct multiple team members across the different phases of client projects
Able to provide customized, action-oriented deliverables including final presentations, analyses, and simulations

Assists in the development of research proposals
Able to manage and develop client relationships
Deliver quality presentations to multiple client audiences

Provide feedback and support performance review process

Strong proficiency in the utilization of analytical techniques for ROI measurement

Required Skills
Possess a blend of marketing acumen, consulting expertise, and analytical capabilities that can create value and, insights for our clients.

Comfortable utilizing advanced statistical analysis techniques and build reports and presentations using insights derived from analytics.
Plan and manage own work in collaboration with the team to meet assigned deliverables in a timely manner.
Qualifications
7 - 10 years experience in an external and/or internal consulting role or advisory
services
role in the P&C Insurance Industry.
7 - 10 years experience in consulting including project management, team leadership and client relationship management in support of the delivery of business and/or technical project solutions
At least 5 years experience in developing
executive
level relationships, with experience in the identification, development and closure of sales efforts
7 - 10 years experience in guiding and facilitating executive level business decisions.
7 - 10 years experience in performing business analysis such as quantitative and qualitative analysis, business case development, operations analysis, and/or other solutions
Advanced technical expertise, underwriting skill and high level of knowledge of commercial property insurance and underwriting principles, practices and procedures
Strong analytic aptitude required. Must be able to assess and address complex business problems and develop and implement solutions to meet market opportunities.
Highly motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, revenue generating environment. Able to work in a collaborative fashion or independently.
Highly polished presentation skills; Strong written communication skills and a professional demeanor. Must be able to communicate on a business and technical level.
Highest integrity and reputation.
Bachelors degree, Masters strongly preferred
Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
