Job Description
The Senior Data Science/Business Intelligence Analyst helps to drive and focus projects around Gartner's Business Intelligence strategy in line with overall corporate objectives and provides primary analysis to all business units globally for corporate-wide data initiatives. The key responsibilities include:
? Apply statistical techniques to assess the health of the business by modeling data using descriptive and predictive analytics
? Educate business users on analytical capabilities and limitations
? Run interview process with business users to understand business needs/requirements for individual projects
? Work closely with BI Technical team to translate business requirements
? Partner with strategic technology group on the exploration and potential implementation of new BI concepts/tools
? Perform analyses and develop interactive guided analytical dashboards
Job Requirements
? B.S. or higher in Data Science, Math, Statistics and/or
computer
Science
? 4
years of Analytics experience preferred or 0-2 years plus Graduate / Certificate
? 1-2
years of experience with data discovery / analytical tools, and / or a major BI platform
? Experience with predictive analytics and dashboard development strongly desired.
? Strong interpersonal and communication skills
? Strong knowledge of BI concepts and processes (e.g. ETL, data aggregation, query and analyses)
? Proven ability to implement and drive complex projects
? Proven ability to participate in cross-functional teams

Experience with visualization of real-time data
Identify key marketing, sales, finance and operational metrics, integrates disparate data from multiple sources, and identifies statistical trends and behaviors that result from or impact client marketing activities
Analyze data including website traffic patterns, order volume, transaction, conversion, retention, navigation behavior, source origination and product selection
Design, generate and manage performance reports that summarize key performance indicators (KPIs)
Work with internal teams to identify gaps in data capture strategy and recommends enhancements; manage the design of test scenarios and reporting
Ability to work with multiple groups across reporting lines; Support the team in understanding how and where client data is captured, compiled and maintained, and look for opportunities to streamline
Exemplary organizational, presentation and communications skills- Participates in and contributes to client strategic and business-building ideas
Identify areas in which new or added information can benefit the strategic and creative direction for the company; Help to ensure tactics and recommendations align with strategic objectives
Communicate technical complexities in clear and concise presentations and has a passion for transforming large amount of data into compelling visual stories to facilitate analysis
Stay abreast of developments and trends in the technology field that will have an impact on operations; Competitive and best practice analysis and sharing will be an ongoing expectation
Experience working with large datasets and conducting statistical analyses using various languages/tools
