You will be part of a team delivering applications using leading edge technologies on the cloud and implementing the best in software development craftsmanship. RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide guidance around next-generation web and mobile application UI framework - Lead the implementation of new UI's - Collaborate with business stakeholders, product management, interaction designers, quality assurance engineers, and Back End engineers - Participate in UI design and development code reviews - Lead and/or participate in user research including customer interviews, usability and concept testing - Engage with Back End systems engineers - Use a disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance - Identify and address performance bottlenecks - Provide occasional design support for the product delivery team - Provide occasional development support for other parts of the organization CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS- 3-5 years relevant work experience - Good knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript (especially jQuery), and CSS3 - Experience designing modular, object-oriented JavaScript - Experience developing for and understanding of how to design code for mobile devices eg responsive code design, graceful degradation, progressive enhancement - Understanding of Ruby on Rails (no necessarily coding experience) - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Prototyping DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience in Agile software practices - Github profile or link to open source work - Visual design skills - Knowledge of cross-browser quirks - Exposure to the following technologies: MongoDB, Sass, Bourbon, Neat, Twitter Bootstrap, and HAML - Testing technologies (able to learn): Cucumber, Jasmine, and RSpec - Server technologies (able to learn): Rake, Sunspot and Rails - Wordpress (able to learn) - Creative tools: Adobe Creative Suite Our client is a new division of a large broadcasting company here in Atlanta.
