The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess: The Sr. IT Security Analyst assists the Manager of Information Security to make sure that data flowing through the company's IT systems remains secure. This includes maintaining and upgrading information security programs, processes, and procedures while at the same time monitoring information security systems logs and reports. The IT Security Sr. Analyst interprets and enforces information security policies, analyzes data, and takes action on suspicious activities and anomalies that occur. The IT Security Sr. Analyst is responsible for gathering forensic evidence needed to conduct investigations of security incidents and maintaining data encryption keys. What You'll Be Doing: - Assist the Manager of Information Security in enhancing and maintaining the information security program. This will include creating and updating security policies, processes and procedures. It will also include assisting in the strategic planning for the program. - Assist the Manager of Information Security with associate awareness training and communications. - Lead projects to implement new information security controls and systems. - Monitor and analyze information provided by information security systems to identify suspicious or malicious activity and to ensure that security incidents are acted upon in a timely manner. - Gather forensic evidence for investigation of security incidents. - Monitor deployment of information systems to ensure security standards and guidelines are followed. - Review vulnerability assessment scans against networked
computer
systems to ensure that systems are configured and maintained properly in regards to security. - Maintain data encryption keys for the company. What You Need to Bring to the Table: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business with a computer emphasis required, along with five (5) years of Information Security experience required. - Experience with Security Information and Event Management and Vulnerability Management systems required. - Strong project management and communications skills required.
