The Electronic Review Specialist is responsible for data and information integrity as well as providing follow - up on the status of medical record requests with personnel of provider sites. The incumbent will communicate any changes, updates or issues to Lead Review Specialist, Sr. Lead Review Specialist or Operations

Identify critical Key Chart Components (KCC) in multiple EMR systems, adhering to Quality and Data Information Integrity (QDII) standards for SRC review;
Extract medical record information from EMR systems specific to project requirements;
Ability to learn project specific EMR procedures for current and future clients;
Follow up on the status of medical record request with personnel of provider sites;
Place calls to medical facilities to verify location information for Inovalon's medical record reviewers;
Document notes and make updates into a large electronic database of information;
Maintain established productivity standards;
Effectively communicate with medical staff regarding the purpose of reviews and/or answer general questions;
Communicate status of request and/or issue in fulfilling those requests to team lead or operations manager;
Process and scan digital copies of received medical documents;
Maintain compliance with Inovalon's policies, procedures and mission statement;
Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon's Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or
services
rendered in the undertaking of the
position
; and
Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Company.
