Server Analyst AREA Overview: This team is responsible for the planning and execution of Windows server remediation including security configuration and patch management. CANDIDATE TECHNICAL BACKGROUND: - Extensive Windows server analysis experience across multiple versions including NT, 2000, 2003, and 2008. The Windows experience should include design, engineering, deployment, and operational support roles. - Experience with enterprise Active Directory and Group Policy structure and administration - Experience with server operating system Scripting and automation using C#, VBScript, or PowerShell. - Experience with server software packaging and version control - Experience with Microsoft SQL Server database installation, migration, and support. - Experience with Microsoft IIS Server installation, migration, and support. - Experience with government security configuration requirements including NIST and DOD standards. - Experience with infrastructure management tools design and support to include any of the following: IBM Tivoli Provisioning Manager (TPM), IBM Tivoli Endpoint Manager (IEM), IBM Tivoli Asset Discovery (TAD4D), McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT). Responsibilities: Will be responsible for server infrastructure compliance including analysis of baseline compliance and vulnerabilities, development and testing of remediation content, and execution of remediation content on critical server infrastructure. Responsibilities also include maintenance planning, deployment planning, compliance support, management tool support, and third level operational support. SYSTEM(S) THE CONTRACTOR WILL INTERACT WITH/BE RESPONSIBLE FOR: McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), Tivoli Endpoint Manager (IEM), CA IT Client Manager (ITCM), Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft IIS Server. WORKING HOURS/CONDITIONS: - Standard job hours are from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday-Friday) . - Overtime and weekend work may be required. - On-call responsibilities required. TEAM SIZE: 20 people
Job Description: 25% Analyzes server workload, including traffic and utilization trends. Provides analytical support to team members throughout the development and implementation process. Provides feedback on commonly encountered problems and misunderstandings to enhance user documentation and/or training programs etc. May provide training on hardware and/or software use. 25% Compiles and analyzes operational data and directs tests to assist in establishing standard for new designs or modifications to existing equipment, systems, or processes. Tests and verifies Servers and support peripherals to ensure that they meet specifications and requirements, by recording and analysing test data. 25% Confers with technical specialists and consults specifications to evaluate interface between hardware and software and operational and performance requirements of overall system (s). Interfaces with users, consultants, technical teams, and vendors for maximum guidance or on new technology to determine installation requirements. 10% Ensures compliance with audit requirements. Addresses vulnerabilities within audit-mandated time frames. Anticipate and mitigates problems to integrity the security of the system. Maintains effective security/backup and disaster recovery processes and systems. 10% Monitors server performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future. Creates and maintains process and procedure documentation. 5% Keeps knowledge and skills updated to keep up with rapid advancements in server technology. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
