Summary:
The
position
is located in the Office of the Chief of Staff and the incumbent is responsible for carrying out a variety of important assignments relative to all of the mission areas of the NMB, with special emphasis on the Mediation mission area. The incumbent provides advice and assistance on special projects, and major mediation cases of a critical, controversial and confidential nature. The Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) carries out duties related to all of the NMB mission areas and administration as assigned by the Chief of Staff, and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the office of Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution

. The DCOS s responsibilities includesupervisory duties related to performance, travel management, time and attendance, and payroll.The DCOS reports directly to the Chief of Staff.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
