DC office. The SOM Summer Internship Program runs from May-August 2014. Selected Interns typically work between 10 and 14 weeks depending on school schedule. Work experience may include the following tasks:
Assists in preparation of design and construction documents and solutions to general MEP or sustainable design issues.
Checks and coordinates details and dimensions. Performs basic drafting work. Computes and compiles engineering data from prescribed sources. Organizes own work efforts.
Enrollment in a 4-5-year undergraduate degree or masters program or student training program; typically interns are entering the last year of program; graduates will not be accepted into the Summer Internship Program
Limited experience in the engineering or sustainable design profession or associated arts Demonstrated basic abilities in design and rendering Strong verbal and written communications skills
computer
knowledge/ability to include keyboard, mouse, word-processing and e-mail programs, AutoCAD, REVIT, Adobe Applications and 3D Visualization Programs; Ecotect preferred for sustainable design positions
