Regional Climate Change Compact was executed by Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe, and Palm Beach Counties in January 2010 to coordinate mitigation and adaptation activities across county lines. With the addition of many cities within the four-county region, the Compact remains a vital and on-going collaboration at a regional scale. The Institute for Sustainable Communities is working in partnership with the Compact to provide technical, strategic and network support as needed to facilitate rapid progress. The Senior Program Officer serves as the primary ISC representative in Southeast Florida requiring a significant degree of high quality coordination between the Compact parties, other key stakeholders and other ISC staff in the delivery of several projects to further the Compact's Regional Climate Action Plan. The successful incumbent will be a highly motivated self-starter as the
position
will be supervised remotely. Funding for the position is secure for two years after which the position is contingent upon the will of the ISC's Compact partners and the availability of additional funding.
Working Conditions
Office environment in multiple city and county offices throughout the four county region (Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade or Monroe Counties) with frequent travel within the region.
Work collaboratively with Compact partners and others in the development and delivery of the recommendations within the Compact's Regional Climate Action Plan and associated implementation strategy;
Coordinate and facilitate communications and collaboration among the parties to the Compact in order to foster and maintain highly productive working relationships;
Staff the Compact's Steering Committee, including agenda preparation, meeting facilitation, and follow up on action items as assigned; Develop and support key components of the Compact's implementation process, including but not limited to solutions to foster
community
sustainability, resilience to climate impacts, enhanced environmental quality and regional economic prosperity;
Provide quality project management, supervision of contractors, task tracking and seamless coordination of effort with other projects not directly funded by the Compact.

Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities and ability to meet deadlines;
Ability to provide project management for team projects, prioritizing work assignments and managing to appropriate deadlines;
General to broad knowledge of and experience with community-based programs designed to increase energy efficiency, and promote climate adaptation or mitigation (strongly preferred);
Good budgeting skills;
Ability to effectively manage contractors;
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite, data processing, email, Internet browsers, and other software.
Qualifications
Advanced degree in a related field, preferred;
Five years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a role requiring coordination across multiple government agencies at multiple levels from elected officials, senior appointed officials and program staff;
Project design and implementation experience;
Willingness and ability to travel;
Commitment to the ISC mission and goals.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
